PAUL BANMAN

PIANIST | KEYBOARDIST | COMPOSER | PRODUCER

Paul brings an eclectic musical experience to all his music projects. He has

performed with legendary jazz artists - Pete Minger-trumpet, Jerry

Hahn-guitar, Othello Molineaux-steel pan in his career, played Swiss

resorts with the "BB White Group", as well as performing numerous

national and South Florida dates as music director with Robin Avery

and the "Robin Avery Band" including concert opening act for Bruce

Hornsby at SunFest. In addition, Paul has performed with highly

acclaimed Jamaican born guitarist & composer Eugene Grey for over

10 years at numerous festival events, including the Ocho Rios Jazz

Festival and other concert venues, and also toured internationally,

including Japan & Thailand, with 60's favorites "The Lettermen."

Recent highlights include shows with artist Jorge Garcia (guitarist/

composer) at the Greenville Jazz Festival and Hotel Eve Jazz

(Asheville NC), as well as long time house pianist at Frankie’s Italian

Trattoria (Maggie Valley NC). He has a Bachelor of Arts (Music

Composition) Degree from Wichita State University, studied Jazz

Performance at the University of Miami, and is a member of ASCAP.

Production credits include: Old Friends - Robin Avery, The Way You

Hold Me - Robin Avery, Light The Way - Robin Avery, and Love Me

Now - Bickley Rivera. Major musical influences include Herbie

Hancock, Chick Corea, George Duke, McCoy Tyner, Brad Mehldau,

Olivier Messiaen, and Bela Bartok. Paul currently lives and is

professionally based in Asheville, NC.
